The Open Source movement is by itself a generative system where every creation is a seed to an unknown number or new creations.

The game 2048 is an open source game created by Gabrielle Cirulli* in March of 2014 that became massively popular.
It's open nature has lead to many different versions, each one adding new variations in the game-play or in the aesthetics.

In this version some modifications have been applied:

A general aesthetic change has been done. Colors and fonts have been changed searching for pureness. The numbers written on the tiles have been replaced by an iterative fractal in which you can see the number of circles contained in that tile.
Taking out the numbers from the board changes the perception of the game in to a more intuitive way of playing. To avoid loosing control of the point in which the game is a level counter has been added.

Strong sound effects have been added to the game. This effects integrate some concepts of generative music making it react harmonically to player's achievements.
Using the Web Audio API and p5.js (the sound library) the sounds are created directly on the browser. This allows a richer relationship between game and music with a small amount of weight in the full app.
The musical experience enhances the game and stimulates the emotions of the player turning it to an even more meditative passage.

*This site is a modified version of 2048 by Gabriele Cirulli. that was based on 1024 by Veewo Studio and conceptually similar to Threes by Asher Vollmer.

How to play: Use your arrow keys to move the tiles. When two tiles with the same value touch, they merge into one!
